SDGs Multipliers - Online Training
Learn the skills on how you can support and lead your community or organisation to innovatively achieve more sustainable projects and initiatives and contribute to reaching the Agenda 2030 and SDGs in your context and locality.
Most of us are aware of the urgent call to action for all countries, regions, cities, towns and villages, and all of us to help save our civilisation and a livable planet for humans and non-humans made by The United Nations through its ‘Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development', comprising the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for transforming our world. The SDGs are recognised as the only and best globally agreed blueprint of which areas need our urgent attention if we are to create a healthy future that ensures the prosperity of our species and the natural world, for the planet, people and prosperity for all and to leave no one behind.
Since 2015, when the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs were agreed upon by all countries represented in the UN, we now have reached a critical juncture in our journey toward implementing the Agenda 2030 and achieving the SDGs. Unfortunately, global progress remains significantly off track, putting the 2030 targets—and our collective future—at serious risk.
The recent ‘Pact for the Future’ presented in the UN Summit of the Future in October 2024 in New York offers a renewed sense of urgency and ambition. This initiative not only accelerates efforts toward achieving the SDGs but also envisions a bold leap beyond 2030 into a regenerative future.
We at Gaia Education take on the challenge to do our part to bring the achievement of the Agenda back on track and even move beyond the SDG towards a regenerative post-2030 future.
Hence we offer this online SDGs Multipliers course as your opportunity to become an engaged and empowered change agent to support the necessary transformations in your community in your local context, wherever you are and whatever your transformative work is about - it will always relate to the SDGs and can gain from integrating them into any project, initiative, group work, community development etc.
